Over the summer months the downtown area as been a busy place with the Main Street Festival, Dodge City Days, and several other events and activities. Adding to this excitement has been the opening of two new businesses: Salvaged Treasures and Dodge City Snow Station.

On Thursday, June 21, members of the Main Street Design Team awarded Lupita’s Fashion, located at 502 N. Second Avenue, with the Main Street “Display Window of the Month” award for June.  Starting this year, the Main Street Design Committee launched a new program that awards and acknowledges one downtown business each month that has put the time and energy into designing a well thought out window display.  The main goal behind the “Main Street Display Window of the Month” project is to not only acknowledge the businesses that have done well, but to also help encourage all downtown businesses to get involved.  As part of the program, the Main Street Design Committee is offering education on good design basics, as well as promoting the downtown...

On Thursday, February 16th members of the Main Street Design Committee awarded Lisa Jackson, owner of Flowers By Irene located at 500 N. Second Avenue with the Main Street “Display Window of the Month” award for February.  In efforts to award and acknowledge the downtown businesses that put the time and energy into designing a well-thought out window display, the Main Street Design Committee has recently launched a new program entitled “Window Display of the Month.”  Each month the Main Street Design Committee will take a look at the various storefronts and window displays throughout the Main Street District, and choose the one that best meets the criteria for a well-designed window display.  The chosen business will then be notified and awarded with a...
