Dulcelandia Awarded April “Display Window of the Month”

On Wednesday, April 18th, members of the Main Street Design Committee awarded Dulcelandia, located at 609 N. Second Avenue, with the Main Street “Display Window of the Month” award for April.

Starting this year, the Main Street Design Committee launched a new program that awards and acknowledges one downtown business each month that has put the time and energy into designing a well thought out window display.  The main goal behind the “Main Street Display Window of the Month” project is to not only acknowledge the businesses that have done well, but to also help encourage all downtown businesses to get involved.  As part of the program, the Main Street Design Committee is offering education on good design basics, as well as promoting the downtown incentive programs that are available to help downtown business and property owners make improvements to their storefronts.

“Dulcelandia was chosen as this month’s winner because the committee felt that the business not only did an excellent job in coordinating the color and background that make the products on display stand out, but also did a great job in being creative with the accessories and accents that enhanced the window display,” explain Chelsey Fisher, Main Street Director.

The criteria that the Design Committee looks at includes the general effectiveness of the window display, use and coordination of color in the display, creativity and/or the use of a seasonal theme, and the neatness of the signage, arrangement and overall appearance.
