Fidelity State Bank Combines Financial Strength with Hometown Friendliness

For over 100 years, Fidelity State Bank has helped families and businesses in Dodge City meet their financial goals with a wide range of financial services. Still a locally-owned community bank, Fidelity continues to provide banking solutions geared towards the unique needs of the area.

Uniquely experienced lending

With one of the most experienced lending teams in Southwest Kansas, Fidelity applies its expertise to help its customers meet their individual goals.

“Southwest Kansas has the hardest working and strongest managers in the state,” said Scott Chipman, Senior Vice President. “We get to know each of our customers personally to better understand their business approach and financial needs.”

Fidelity’s five Loan Officers have a combined 147 years of experience in lending. Leon Flax and Tom Stanley, agricultural lenders, also have hands-on experience in ranching and farming.

“Being familiar with the hard work of farming and ranching has been a great help in our lending,” said Stanley. “It helps us anticipate opportunities and challenges for our customers and helps us stay current on the latest practices.”

A leader in trust and institutional services

Fidelity has also developed a leading Trust Department in Southwest Kansas, dedicated to consistently providing individuals, institutions, and foundations with high quality fiduciary and investment services. As the only trust department headquartered in Dodge City, Fidelity is able to efficiently provide high quality service combined with a unique knowledge of the area.

“Our goal with every client is to develop a plan that fits their needs, goals, and comfort with risk,” said Dan Harris, Vice President and Trust Officer. “When managing estates or endowments, our independence helps avoid many of the conflicts that occur when dealing with significant amounts of money.”

Whether managing a charitable foundation or an individual’s brokerage account, the Trust Department places customer service as a high priority.

“We want every client to feel like we are only a phone call away,” said Lori Bone, Trust Officer. “With something as important as an endowment or IRA, we want our clients to know that we are always ready to help.”

Convenient access and friendly service

In its century of operations, Fidelity has combined financial strength with an emphasis on customer service. Fidelity continues to make this combination its central goal.

“Our priority is, and will continue to be, providing the highest quality service to our customers,” said Ben Zimmerman III, CEO. “Our emphasis on financial strength allows our customers to be confident that we will be here to meet their financial needs through the positives and the negatives of the economic cycle.”
